Dr. Constantin Aliferis leads the BMI organization, along with an experienced team of BMI experts, including over 80 BMI faculty and 49 staff out of the Academic Health Center Information Technology group (AHC-IT).

Dr. Aliferis is the Director of the Academic Health Center Office of Biomedical Health Informatics (BMHI), which is the single central entity responsible for all BMI activities at the University of Minnesota, including the CTSI BMI function as well as the Institute for Health Informatics (IHI), which is the academic home for scholarship in the area of BMI.

The BMHI Director and CTSI Director report to the Academic Health Center Vice President.

An Advisory Committee of AHC Deans provides strategic direction to the BMHI and its components.
