Benjamin Pierce, PhD
Ben is a Post-Doctoral Associate in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Minnesota. He is mentored by Dr. Jessica Nielson in applying machine learning and other data science tools to large clinical datasets with the goal of improving the characterization of post-traumatic stress and associated symptoms to inform clinical practice. Ben received his Ph.D. in Clinical and Counseling Psychology in 2019 from Utah State University. He is trained as a clinician as well as in statistical methods, and he strives to integrate across these knowledge domains in his research.
