Ahmad AbuSalah, PhD, MSc
Dr. AbuSalah currently serves as the Healthcare Informatics and Intelligence Officer in the CIO office at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre; one of the largest tertiary hospitals in the Middle east.
At his role there, Dr. Abusalah helps establish the Centre of Healthcare Intelligence (CHI) which aims to design informatics & AI solutions and advanced analytics infrastructure to support the hospital operation and boost translational research.
Prior to that, Dr. Abusalah served as a Core Health Informatics Professor at the Institute for Health Informatics, University of Minnesota (UMN) and the Director of Clinical Informatics at the Best Practices Integrative Informatics Consulting and Collaborative Science Core (BPIC) of CTSI’s Biomedical Informatics Program.
Dr. AbuSalah also served as the lead informaticist at the US National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education.
