Anne LaFlamme, DNP, RN is the Chief Clinical & Nursing Informatics Officer and Vice President of Informatics at M Health Fairview where she leads efforts to improve the institution’s EHR, Health IT, and associated tools for 34,000+ employees across ten diverse specialty service lines and the full spectrum of care domains across the system including 12 hospitals, 56 primary care clinics, 100+ specialties, and numerous post-acute care settings. She completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree in Nursing Informatics in 2013 from the University of Minnesota and is an Affiliate Clinical Assistant Dean for Practice at the School of Nursing. Anne’s areas of interest are human-computer interaction, systems design, and organizational change management. She is a current Health Management Academy Nurse Fellow and was recently appointed an Affiliate Faculty of the Institute for Health Informatics at the University of Minnesota. Anne is an active leader in the Nursing Collaboratory, a partnership of Fairview Health Services, MHealth, University of Minnesota Physicians, and University of Minnesota School of Nursing. As a think tank and incubator for creativity and innovation to enhance nursing education, research, practice and patient outcomes the Collaboratory received the national AACN / AONE Outstanding Academic Practice Award in 2017. Additional honors include receiving the 2019 Women’s Health Leadership TRUST Innovation and Technology Award and the School of Nursing Preceptor of the Year Award in 2016.
