Cheryl Stephens, PhD
Dr. Stephens has over twenty-seven years of senior level healthcare administration experience with an emphasis on expanding rural capacity. Much of her time has been devoted to the development of new healthcare networks in the areas of health information exchange, emergency preparedness and managed care.
As CEO of a health maintenance organization, administrator of a private multi-physician practice, on the administrative team of large and small hospitals, and working in the clinical laboratory environment, she has experienced healthcare from all vantage points.
Cheryl has a BS in Medical Technology, an MBA, and has earned a PhD in business administration, August 2008 - her dissertation topic was in the area of Public/Private Partnerships in Healthcare.
