I am an Assistant Professor with a joint appointment in the Institute
for Health Informatics (IHI) and the Department of Psychiatry &
Behavioral Sciences. I received my PhD from Yale University and my BS
in psychology (with honors) from Washington and Lee University.

I use causal and predictive machine learning algorithms to better
understand what leads people to consider self-harm, reject
preventative health measures like vaccination, and maintain beliefs
that do not align with reality.
