Dr. Ranallo is an informatician with experience applying, critically evaluating, and developing technologies for the computable, semantic representation of clinical data. She performs research on gaps in standards at the interface of biomedical, behavioral, and social sciences.  She has performed basic research in both the biomedical and social sciences and co-Chairs the SNOMED International Mental and Behavioral Health Clinical Reference Group. Dr. Ranallo is co-editor of an informatics textbook in Mental Health Informatics. She is committed to educating and empowering students in their journey to use and advance clinical terminology to enable a robust Learning Healthcare System.
